Learning to drive in Glasnevin
Here are six things you can count on from our driving lessons in Glasnevin, all of them part of the standard price.
Pick-up included, start to finish
Your instructor can meet you at home, at Rosmini Community School or at your workplace in Glasnevin. Drop-off is included as well, so your hour is all driving.
Instructors trained by ex-testers
Each instructor is an RSA Approved Driving Instructor who was trained by former driving testers. Lessons are in dual-controlled cars, which keeps early practice safe.
No raised voices
We keep lessons calm. Nobody shouts, and if something goes wrong you pull in, talk it over and try again when you feel ready.
Honest feedback on the test
With Finglas so near Glasnevin, it is easy to book a test too soon. We give you a straight view of where you stand, name any gaps, and never pad out your hours.
Manual, automatic, your call
Glasnevin learners can do EDT and pretest in either. A manual pass covers both car types, but an automatic pass adds code 78 to your licence, so automatics only.
Choose who teaches you
We match you with an instructor when you sign up, and you can ask for a female instructor. Say what would help you feel at ease and we will take it into account.

Manual driving lessons Glasnevin
Manual lessons in Glasnevin cover the clutch, gear changes and hill starts before you move on to bigger junctions. As you progress you will drive on Saint Mobhi Road and Griffith Avenue, holding a gear and choosing lanes with care. Because a manual licence lets you drive any car, it is the safer pick if you might borrow a family car or drive for work later on. The price is €53.27 per lesson, or €587.95 for the full EDT course in a manual.
Book manual lessons ↗Automatic driving lessons Glasnevin
Automatic driving lessons in Glasnevin cost €61.41 a lesson. Without a clutch or gear stick, the early lessons focus on steering, speed and observation, so you have fewer things to manage at once. Pretest with car hire is €193.81, and the EDT course in an automatic is €659.24. Keep in mind that a pass in an automatic gives a code 78 licence, which covers automatic cars only.

Glasnevin roads, lesson by lesson
Your first few lessons stay close to where you were collected. When you can manage junctions on your own, lessons take in Drumcondra Road Upper and then Finglas Road, so longer drives feel normal well before test day. Your instructor sets the next step at the end of each hour, based on how the last one went.
Meeting points are flexible. Griffith Area Community Centre and Clearwater Shopping Centre both work, as does Broombridge station if you are coming off the train. Students at Scoil Chaitríona or St Columba's School can be collected when classes finish and dropped home at the end of the hour, or anywhere else you need.
We teach in the areas around you as well. Ballymun and Cabra both have their own pages on this site, and the same price list and the same instructors cover them. If you live on the edge of Glasnevin, tell us your address and we will collect you from it.
